SMBC Indonesia

SMBC's presence in Indonesia is represented by PT Bank SMBC Indonesia Tbk (SMBC Indonesia).

SMBC Group completed the merging of its banking franchise PT Bank Sumitomo Mitsui Indonesia with PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional Tbk in Indonesia on 1 February 2019, and the bank was rebranded as SMBC Indonesia in 2024.

SMBC Indonesia is a universal bank that provides a full suite of products and services to corporate and individual customers. Its vision is "to become the first choice bank in Indonesia which significantly changes the lives of millions of people, mainly with the support of digital technology".

PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional Tbk was established in 1958, and SMBC first entered the Indonesia market in 1989 as PT Bank Sumitomo Mitsui Indonesia.
