TOKYO, January 13, 2012--Sumitomo
Mitsui Banking Corporation (China)
Limited (“SMBCCN”, President: Mr.
Kazunori Okuyama), wholly-owned subsidiary of
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC, President: Mr. Takeshi Kunibe), has signed a Memorandum of Information Exchanging with Institute of Economic Research, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC),
People’s Republic of China.
Institute of Economic Research of NDRC, a think tank department of NDRC, which
is responsible for the country’s macroeconomic policy-making, provides advice
and recommendations on policy decisions of the Chinese Government on a wide
range of fields including the economy, industries, social development, and
commodity prices.
SMBC and Institute of Economic
Research will exchange information such
as research results on the Chinese economy,
finance and
pioneering industries. SMBC hopes to contribute to the development of the Chinese economy and financial markets, and enhance its researching and consulting capabilities for our clients’ further development in China through this collaboration.
