Donation for Earthquake Relief in Sichuan Province
of China
TOKYO, April 25, 2013 --- Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC, its President:
Takeshi Kunibe)
and all of its employees would like to express their heartfelt condolences and
deepest sympathy for those people affected by the earthquake disaster in
Sichuan Province of China.
In order to help in the recovery efforts in
the region after the earthquake, SMBC will donate JPY 5,000,000 to Japanese Red
Cross Society. In addition,
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (China) Limited will donate RMB
100,000 to the Humanitarian Relief and Aid Fund of Shanghai Red Cross Society.
We sincerely hope for an early recovery of
the areas affected by the disaster.
