Approval Received for Establishment of
Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar,
Mongolia
TOKYO, ---Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC, President:
Takeshi Kunibe) received today the approval to establish a Representative
Office in Ulaanbaatar
from The Bank of Mongolia. The representative office will commence operation
subject to SMBC obtaining the approval of the Japanese regulatory authorities.
SMBC will provide a wide range of funding solutions
for the development of natural resources and infrastructures in Mongolia which is expected to gain momentum in
the foreseeable future, and further enhance our services to our clients in Mongolia.
