Donation for Earthquake Relief in Taiwan

TOKYO, February 12, 2016 --- Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC, President and CEO: Takeshi Kunibe), and its employees would like to express their heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy for those people affected by the earthquake that struck southern Taiwan on February 6^th.

In order to assist recovery efforts in the affected regions, SMBC will donate NTD 1,250,000 to the Bureau of Social Affairs, Tainan City Government.

We sincerely hope for an early recovery of the areas affected by the disaster.
